This blog is one of many in a long list out of dramatic attempts to "make it": my ticket out of an unhappy life. how dramatic the stakes have to be with these hail mary creative pursuits. they always go the same way, which is unloved and neglected. i want to be a sad sack of shit so bad, but the unfortunate truth is that i really can be a happy guy. it's just pitiful sometimes when it comes to the way i talk to myself. i want to be cursed, but at the end of the day, i'm probably just fine and dandy.

enough on the moral appraisals. this blog kind of seems sick. It's worth sticking with. I never stuck with much my whole life. judo, fencing, golf, ultimate frisbee, water polo, swim, rapping, swimming. it's a blog of my own at a domain i paid for. If no one reads it, awesome. And god forbid people do read it, I hope they are entertained. I have been told I am hilarious, and I reckon that I am, but i feel pitiful.

On october 10, I fell thru a grate in the sidewalk and impaled my leg down to the bone, requiring 11 stitches, a tetanus shot, thorough cleaning. Next week is a month since the accident and I lowkey feel like shit still. i wish I was hamming this up. but im limping like a hoe and everything hurts. im humming to myself just like my old man used to, god rest his soul.

I'm using one of his old canes and it really brings me closer to his spirit. i sympathize with anyone using a cane. it's a real workout. on the plus side people finally get the fuck out of my way when im walking down the street. and they give me their seats. and they apologize when they walk up behind me.

as I looked behind me , a lady could sense i was nervous, and she said don't worry, you're okay. and then i cried, because it's the nicest thing i needed to hear in that moment.
